Obituary for Fay Beckstead
BECKSTEAD, Fay
Peacefully at Hospice on Saturday March 17, 2018 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Mabel Beckstead (nee Hartle). Loving father of Jane Michels (Bill) and Peter Beckstead (Heather). Cherished Grandpa of Alison (Cody) and Blake Michels and Emerson, Gracie and Grayson Beckstead. Proud brother of Doris (late Fraser) Hanna, Mary (Maurice) Cuerrier, Margaret (late Guy) Cuerrier, Irene (Bill) LaSalle, Helen Armstrong, Rita (Junior) Thompson, Murray Beckstead, Linda Moke, Gord (Lianne) Beckstead, Darlene (Reid) McIntyre and Bill (Elaine) Beckstead. Predeceased by his parents Garnet and Dorothy (Moak) Beckstead, brother Bruce and sisters Jean and Grace. He will be sadly missed by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Fay was a Domtar retiree, a dedicated farmer with more than 50 years of entries to the Stormont County Fair and a great friend to many. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home MacDougall Chapel and Reception Centre 14815 County Road 2 Ingleside on Thursday, March 22nd from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. [A SERVICE IN CELEBRATION OF FAY’S LIFE WILL BE HELD IN TRINITY UNITED CHURCH INGLESIDE ON FRIDAY MARCH 23rd, 2018 AT 11AM.].
